CRC Competitive Juniors Program (Summer)

The Conshohocken Rowing Center will be offering two opportunities for Juniors during the summer. The two opportunities are Selection Camp and Development Camp.

Selection Camp will be for qualified candidates that are recommended by coaches and meet the CRC fitness standards. The process is not solely based on erg scores, but as a measure a good 2k erg score for Heavyweights boys (over 165lbs) is under 6:45, a good score for Lightweights boys (under 160 lbs) is under 7:00, and a good score for girls is under 8:00. The selection camp will focus on small boats in both sculling and sweep rowing. We will be accepting 25 athletes (boys and girls) for CRC Selection Camp.

Development Camp will be for athletes that can not meet CRC fitness standards or can not commit to the Selection Camp schedule. Rowers from all over the region are welcome to apply. CRC will be accepting around 45 athletes, both boys and girls, ages 13 to 19, and all experience levels for development camp (This includes Coxswains). Athletes that separate themselves from others in the Development group might have the opportunity to compete with the Selection Camp group. Further details are available on the Development group for Conshohocken residents.

For further details on the Junior Programs visit Forms & Brochures section of the website.

CRC will be providing afternoon small-boat sessions for a small group of athletes that have scheduling conflicts in the morning. If you row the afternoon session due to conflicts, dues payment will still remain the same price as the normal camp fee. Afternoon sessions fall under the same enrollment as the Development Camp. If you are interested in the afternoon opportunity for Juniors please email rowingcrc@gmail.com and set up a time to discuss with a coach.

The Selection Camp will run from the beginning of June through the first week of August, and Development Camp will run from June 19th to August 4th. There will be an information meeting on Thursday, June 15th.

CRC does not accept partial payments for Development or Selection Camps even if athletes can not participate the full 6 weeks
